Irene G. (Sweetser) Erno Jeffersonville Irene Gertrude (Sweetser) Erno, 99, passed away at Copley Hospital in Morrisville on Saturday September 5, 2015. She was born in Putney on May 2, 1916 daughter of the late John and Gertrude (Akins) Sweetser. She married Rudolph Erno, Sr. on August 25, 1932. She was predeceased by her husband April, 1958. She liked reading, crocheting, knitting and jigsaw puzzles. She leaves her son and daughter-in-law Rudy, Jr. and Eleanor of Jeffersonville, 3 daughters and son-in-law, Arlene and Carroll Jones of Cambridge, Hazel Carpenter of Jeffersonville, Priscilla Fortin of Derby, many grandchildren, great grand children, great great grandchildren nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by her grandson Robert in 1976, brothers Carroll, Ray, John and George, sons-in-law Richard and Clermont. Per Irene’s wishes there will be no public visiting hours or services held. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family in the family lot.
