Janet Guild Fairfax, Vermont Obituary

Janet Guild

Janet Biro Guild St. Albans Janet Biro Guild was released from her earthly bonds on October 1, 2012 after 83 years of a life well lived and filled to the brim. She was born on December 13, 1928 in New York City, to the late Orr and Gladys Trask but grew up in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating from Mount Lebanon High School. Her early dreams of having four children were realized with the added bonus of a fifth child. She raised her babies with laughter and love, and learned her bossy ways that are necessary for raising 5 little hooligans, who will miss her dreadfully. As college expenses loomed for her brood, she began working in reservations for United Airlines. Her job then took her to Cleveland, OH to Chicago, IL. Eventually she transferred to the Covea Computer division helping travel agencies get established with computer reservation systems in the very early days of technology. This took her to London England, and Amsterdam in the Netherlands before retiring to Punta Gorda, FL. Janet loved numerous hand crafts including sewing, knitting, cross-stitching and appliqué, but truly adored bridge and spent most summer afternoons while raising the hooligans, poolside playing bridge with her cronies. She also loved golf and moved to Florida after retirement, so she could “hit the links” year round. Held now in the arms of the angels, she will be sorely missed by her children and their spouses: Doug Biro, Cindy Biro & Greg Broe, Gary & Jan Biro, Judy & Jose Suarez, and Gregg & Ann Biro. Her loss will also be felt by her grandchildren: Gregory Chiappelloni, Erin and Stu Biro, Lisa and Christina Suarez, and Jack, Elizabeth, and Robbie Biro. To her best friend “Louise”, “Thelma” says sorry, but she had to take the convertible by herself this trip. Janet was also predeceased by her husband Larry Guild and her granddaughter Jessica. The family wishes to express their deepest thank you for the special care and love so graciously given to Janet by the staff at both Franklin County Rehab and Northwestern Medical Center. There will be no public visiting hours or services held. The family invites you to share your memories and online condolences by visiting www.awrichfuneralhomes.com.
