Leo F. Villemaire Essex Junction Leo Frederick Villemaire, 88 passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at Vermont Respite House in Williston. He was born on June 28, 1926 in Colchester, VT the son of the late Theodore and Anna (Carrier) Villemaire. He married Martha Sanders in 1949 at St. Stevens. Leo worked 35 years as a mason prior to 25 years at the Medical Center, now Fletcher Allen Health Care, in the building maintenance department. After retirement he continued to work at Fletcher Allen as a volunteer in the repair of wheelchairs. Leo had also been a Boy Scout Master to many Essex Children. Further, he enjoyed speaking French with his French speaking friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years Martha Villemaire of Essex Jct.; his four sons: Daniel and wife Paula of Huntington; Robert of Essex; Timothy and wife Joy of Tacoma, WA; Jeffery and wife Pamela of Essex Jct.; Grandchildren: Bobby, Billy, Morgan, Anna, Nathaniel, Aaron, and Olivia; several nieces; nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by his two sons Thomas and Peter Villemaire. Per Leo’s wishes there will be no public visiting hours or funeral services held. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
