Lillian Rahne

Lillian Rahne, 91, died peacefully on April 17, 2014. She was born on November 14, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY. She married Raymond Rahne in 1947 and then moved to Massapequa Park, NY. The family spent many summers camping around New England. In 1973 they moved to Groton, Vermont where they resided for 40 years. Lillian enjoyed sewing, quilting and knitting. She and Raymond also set up at numerous flea markets in the summertime. Lillian is survived by her husband Raymond of 67 years, son Pastor Kenneth Rahne and his wife Laura of Charleston, NH, their 2 children Corey and Gene and 6 great-grandchildren, daughter Susan Wright and her husband Craig of Georgia,VT, grand-daughter Michleen, her partner Nate, great-grandchildren Cole and Bennett and grandson Kyle Wright. We want to offer our sincere thanks and gratitude to the kind, caring and compassionate staff at the Homestead in St. Albans where both Lillian and Raymond have resided for the past few months. She truly enjoyed making new friends during that time with the wonderful residents and staff. A private family service will be held at a later date this spring. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
