Madeline Hall

Madeline Hope (Hoffman) Hall, 82, passed away on March 21, 2013, at Vermont Respite House, Williston, VT. She was born in Lyndon, Vermont on May 13, 1930, daughter of the late Clayton and Bernice (Simpson) Hoffman. Madeline lived for many years in Lyndonville, VT and was a long time member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post #10038 and American Legion Women’s Auxiliary, serving for over 50 years. She received numerous awards for her efforts and accomplishments in aiding veterans and supporting the community. Her immediate family was very important to her as well as her extended family and her door was always open to everyone. Madeline was predeceased by her husband Frank Perkins Hall of Newark, Vermont in 1984 and sister Hazel Moore of St. Johnsbury in 1979. Madeline is survived by two sons and a daughter, Brian Hall and his wife Marsha Lynn of Georgia, VT, Stephen Hall and his wife Jean of Bath, NH, Joyce (Hall) Hernandez and her husband John of Williston, VT and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren: Tiffany Luker of Aberdeen, MS, Michelle Casey and children Addison and Bentley of Essex JCT, VT, and Kylie Hall of Jeffersonville, VT; Christopher Hall, his wife Lizbeth and children Jared, Caitlin and Caleb of Apex, NC; Benjamin Hall, his wife Jennifer and daughter Andie of Concord, NH; Stephen Dolan of Senora, CA; Sean Dolan, his wife Samantha and daughter Elizabeth of Schweinfurt, Germany. Madeline was also survived by a very special niece, Lisa Terrell, her husband Ron and son Adam of Fishersville, VA. Per Madeline’s wishes there will be no public visiting hours or funeral services held. Inurnment will be private and at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions in Madeline’s memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Association of Chittenden County, 1110 Prim Rd., Colchester, VT 05446 or Vermont Respite House, 99 Allen Brook Lane, Williston, VT 05495.
