Martha P. Moore Georgia Martha P. Moore, 93, passed away on February 9, 2014 at Pillsbury Manor North in South Burlington. She was born on January 19, 1921, to the late Guy and Ruth Pettengill. She attended schools in Danville, VT. She married Stephen Moore in 1940 and lived in Danville for many years. They retired to Arizona for several years. In 2002 Martha returned to Vermont, living in Williston and South Burlington. She was also predeceased by her brother James Pettengill in 1961 and by her husband in 2000. She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (Barrett) Smith and Sandy Moore, and her son Gordon (Josy) Moore. Her grandchildren include Jennifer (Dan) Maher, Jason (Danielle) Smith, Seth (Martha) Moore, and Sarah (Dave) Tencza. Her great-grandchildren include Aly and Barrett Brady, Kendra and Kelsey Smith, Quinn and Zachary Tencza, and Thomas Moore. Per Martha’s wishes no visiting hours will be held. A memorial service with Reverend Kirk Weed officiating will be held on Saturday February 15, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main St. Fairfax, VT 05454. In lieu of flowers contributions can be sent to Calvary Chapel Burlington, P.O. Box 952, Williston, VT 05495.
