Marvin L. Perry Jeffersonville Marvin Lee Perry, 72 a lifelong resident of Jeffersonville, passed away at his home on Wednesday July 4, 2012. He was born in Jeffersonville on the Ralph Wells Farm on Route 15 on November 6, 1939 son of the late Leslie and Beatrice (Machia) Perry. He had been an Eagle Scout and was a graduate of Cambridge High School, Class of 1957. Marvin married the former Susan Gates on January 20, 1960 in Jeffersonville. Over the years he had helped many of the local farmers. Marvin had been employed with the State Highway Department for 33 years retiring in 1992. He was an avid sports fan; he especially loved watching his grandchildren play sports always looking forward to all their games. He was also a Boston Red Sox and Celtics fan also enjoying Mark Martin and Danica Patrick in NASCAR. When he was looking for quiet time he read his bible and worked in his garden which he was very proud of. Marvin was loved by many and will be missed by all those who knew and loved him. He is survived by: his loving wife Sue (Gates) Perry of Jeffersonville; his son Albert Perry and wife Lorinda of Jeffersonville; his daughter Linda Lahaie and husband Richard of St. Albans; his grandchildren: Kierstin, Lydia and Brandon Colaceci; Step grandchildren: Colby and Christopher Lahaie; Dakota Taylor, Ralph Taylor and wife Alli; Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many special pets. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday July 8, 2012 from 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main Street, Fairfax, VT 05454. A funeral service will be held on Monday July 9, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Second Congregational Church in Jeffersonville with the Reverend Mick Comstock officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Jeffersonville Village Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Marvin’s name may be made to the Lamoille Area Cancer Network, P.O. Box 38, Lake Elmore, VT 05657.
