Mary Leclere

Mary M. (Parham) Leclere Essex Junction Mary Margaret (Parham) Leclere, 86, passed away peacefully on July 18, 2012, surrounded by her family and loved ones. Mary was reunited in Heaven with her husband Al, her soul mate and loving husband of 52 years. Mary’s love of life’s simple pleasures and her warmth and kindness to all will be missed by her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Mary was born on January 17, 1926, and was a native & resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, for 80 years. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, Mary moved to Essex Junction, Vermont, to begin a new chapter with her family and friends within her new home during the last seven years. Her greatest pleasures were found in her Vermont home; including bird-watching, enjoying cold snowy days, long drives through the country and the comfort of her family. Mary’s family includes being a loving mom to Albert S. Leclere Jr and spouse Marjorie; Michael L. Leclere and spouse Judith; Marirose Bernard and spouse Dale and Jeanne Marie Piro and spouse Ron. Mary was also blessed and loved by her grandchildren: Aimee McCarron and spouse Ross, Allie Bernard, Jean-Paul Bernard, Erin Calzada and spouse James, Ryan Leonard and spouse Katrina and Andrew Leclere. She will be missed by her loving brother John Parham and spouse Diana and nieces: Carol Jane Mocklin, Michelle Preston, Gail Franchina and Doris Ann Moreau. Special thanks to Melanie Piro, for all of her care, delicious meals, and kindness. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Bayada Home Health Care (Millie, Tammy and Fran), the Visiting Nurses Association (Jeannette, Nikki, Violet and Catherine) and Haircuts Plus (Nikki) for their warm and personal care of Mary. In addition, many thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Baird 3 unit of Fletcher Allen Health Care for their kind and compassionate care of Mary and her family. The special attention and exceptional kindness of these agencies greatly enhanced Mary’s final days and will always be remembered. Abundant thanks also to neighbors, friends, and extended family for their loving concern and friendship to Mary over the years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Essex Meals On Wheels, at PO Box 8442, Essex Junction, VT, 05451. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation on Saturday, July 21, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, at Holy Family Catholic Church, 36 Lincoln Street, Essex Junction, VT, 05452, with a Funeral Mass at 1:00 PM.
