Mary Ellen (McCluskey) Peters, 100, of Colchester, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Green Mt. Nursing Home in Colchester. She was born in Addison, on September 3, 1915 daughter of the late Thomas and Nellie (Soper) McCluskey. On 2/3/2016 Mary was called to come home to be by her husbands side , they had been apart for almost 11 years , we guess he thought it was time for them to be together. Thank you dad & grandpa for allowing us to have her & take care of her and love her as we have. Mary was a mother, grandmother, Great and Great Great grandmother. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. Mary is survived by her son Keith Peters and wife Mary of Burlington, her daughter Sharon Paquette and husband Roger of Winooski, her grandsons Michael Peters of FL, Andrew Peters of Burlington and her granddaughter Lori Lowell and her husband Robert of Essex, Great grandchildren Corey Farley and wife Amber, Lyndsey O’Brien and husband Timothy, Great-Great grandchildren: Cody Mullen, Lilah Farley, Hailey O’Brien, Riley O’Brien and Finnegan O’Brien. She was also predeceased by her husband Lewis Peters and brothers Henry McCluskey, James McCluskey and a sister Margaret Place. We would like to thank everyone at Green Mountain Nursing home, as well as all the nurses and staff with Bayada nursing. Each and every person was a blessing to Mary and our family, thank you for your never ending kindness. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday February 7, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at A W Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel, A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday February 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude, Hinesburg with Reverend Cray, SSE officiating. A reception will follow the service at St. Jude’s. A burial will be in the spring at the convenience of the family in the family lot in Hinesburg Village Cemetery.
