Maryann Paris Obituary

Maryann “Manya” (Enkoff) Paris Jeffersonville Maryann “Manya” (Enkoff) Paris, 63 passed away at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire on Monday May 19, 2014. She was born on April 4, 1951 in Philadelphia, PA daughter of the late Harry and Christine (Polisky) Enkoff. Maryann, or Manya as she was called by family and close friends, had an unconditional love for her husband, 2 daughters, 2 sons in law and 5 grandchildren. Her whole life revolved around them and it was evident to everyone who knew her. She had a contagious laugh and loved to have fun whether it was sitting around a bonfire, hiking at the swimming hole, or traveling on many adventures with her beloved husband. The shore was her happy place and many adventures involved lots of sea, sunshine, and sand. She also loved to spend her time quilting, working in her flower beds, gambling, going to Disney World, and cheering for her favorite Philadelphia sports teams. She even walked several ½ marathons in her 50’s. She was a beloved teacher at Cambridge Elementary School where she taught for 34 years. She loved being a classroom teacher but especially loved the last few years as a Title 1 teacher because she was able to work one on one with children helping them learn. She loved being able to provide individual attention to each child. She especially loved seeing her students over the years after she taught them and made life long connections with many of them and their families. Manya is survived by her loving husband of 44 years Gordon Paris of Jeffersonville; her daughters Julie Paris and husband Mark Huff of Colchester; Susan Paris and husband Andrew Penniman of Stuart, FL; five grandchildren: Ericson, Emily, Myles, Quinn, Adelaide a sister Christine Boryshuk of AZ and many nieces, nephews and in-laws. She was also predeceased by her brother Raymond Enkoff.
