Paul Wendell Provost Obituary

Paul Wendell Provost Sr., 64, of Colchester, passed away at his home in Colchester on Friday, January 1, 2016. He was born in Burlington on February 25, 1951 to the late Paul Everett and Ruth Louella (Logan) Provost. Paul retired from both the United States Postal Service and Vermont National Guard. Paul was a long time supporter of the American Legion Post # 91 and VFW Post # 6689. He loved spending time with friends and loved ones playing cards, camping, playing horse shoes and bowling and was a passionate sports fan. He loved the Giants, Red Sox and Boston Bruins.


Paul is survived by his daughter Patti Hall and her husband Jason of Ft. Meade, MD, a son Paul Wendell Provost Jr. and his wife Cindy of Essex Jct, his brothers Pat Provost of Colchester, Gary Provost of Colchester and sister Pam Cassidy of Milton, four grandchildren, Scottie Cota, Daniel Cota, Maya Provost, Ella Provost, several nieces and nephews.


He was also predeceased by his brother Peter Provost on November 5, 2015.


Visiting hours will be held on Thursday January 7, 2016 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Friday January 8, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church, Essex Jct. with Reverend James W. Gangwer officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Lakeview Cemetery, Burlington.
