Priscilla F. (Torrey) Hawkins Johnson Priscilla Francis (Torrey) Hawkins, 79 passed away on Sunday January 26, 2014 with her loving family by her side at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Burlington. She was born on February 2, 1934 in Blue Hill, ME daughter of the late George L. and Clara (Sinclair) Torrey. Priscilla was full of life! A dancer at heart, her energy and enthusiasm would light up a room! While her sense of humor could express itself through many light-hearted moments and spontaneous laughter, she was steadfast and loving in caring not only for her family, but also the many children of other families who entrusted their sons and daughters into her care. A beloved mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed. Her life will shine on through the many memories being shared by both family and friends. She is survived by her two daughters: Kathy Montague and husband Michael of Jeffersonville; Lynn Baker of Lewiston, ME; three brothers: Clifford Torrey and wife Geneva of Milton; Kenneth Torrey of ME; Roger Torrey and wife Betty of ME; a sister Janet Glidden of ME; three grandchildren Ryan Montague; Kaitlyn Baker and Delaney Baker; a niece, and 3 nephews. She was also predeceased by her husband Philip on February 1, 2013 and her infant sister Ruth. Visiting hours will be held on Friday January 31, 2014 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Fairfax Chapel, 1176 Main Street, Fairfax, VT 05454. Burial for Priscilla and her husband Phillip of 50 years will be private and at the convenience of the family in the spring in Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
