Raymond T. Desorcie Essex Junction Raymond Thomas Desorcie, devoted son of Mable C. (Labombard, Patnode) Duchaine, the Late Herbert T. Patnode, and adoptive parents the Late Mable and Arthur Desorcie, went to be with his sisters Catherine (Patnode) Miller and Joanne Patnode, in heaven on December 21, 2011. He was born on April 10, 1946. He is survived by his mother Mable (Labombard, Patnode) Duchaine of Essex Jct.; Two sons Shawn and Chad Desorcie of Burlington; his brother John Patnode, wife Melissa their son; Nephew Michael Tardy of CT; Niece Kimberly (Duchaine) Harnois, her husband Steve and their children Joanne, Carolyn, and George of Essex Jct; Nephew Duane Miller, wife Dorothy and children of NY; Niece Kathy Miller and children of VT. He loved being a chef for most of his life. He sang in a barbershop quartet and played the accordion in his younger days. He enjoyed watching “Dancing with the Stars” with his mother, playing solitaire, working on word searches and making Christmas Ornaments. He was loved and will be missed by all. God Bless him and all he did. Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday December 27, 2011 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel, 57 Main Street, Essex Jct., VT 05452. A graveside committal service with Reverend Thomas Nadeau offering prayers will be held on December 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the family lot in St. Louis Cemetery in Highgate, VT. Memorial contributions in Raymond’s memory may be made to Holy Family Parish Hall Building Fund, Holy Family Church, 4 Prospect Street, Essex Jct., VT 05452.
