St Albans-Robert F. Burdo Jr., 54, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 1, 2016, at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans. He was born June 29, 1962, the son of Robert Burdo Sr. and Mary Swarez. He worked as a chef for the majority of his working career. Robert enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. As a young adult Robert loved the family gatherings at his grandmother's house to play cards, he made many unforgettable memories at that card table. Robert was very fond of going garage sailing with his mother Mary, sister Dawn and son Mike, it was a regular Saturday tradition. Later in life he learned to love singing karaoke songs, and made many friends in doing so. Robert spent many years living in Florida and loved swimming in the Ocean, it has been many years since he had been to the ocean, with the help of his wife Dolores, Sister-in-Law Rose, and family friend Martha, they were able to get him to the ocean in Maine. He loved holiday celebrations, especially Christmas, he always went all out to celebrate. Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Dolores; two children, Michael Burdo and wife, Sarah, and Jennifer Burdo; five grandchildren, Ashley Burdo, Madison Button, Emily Button, Micah Burdo, and Siah Burdo; his father, Robert Burdo Sr. and wife, Valerie Burdo; two brothers, Dana Baylis and wife, Jeanette, and Eric Burdo; three sisters Dawn Burdo, Tracy Burdo, and Tina Burdo his Aunt Annette Reynolds, Sister-in-law Rose Salter; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to CVAA, Jennifer Stuart and the Association for the blind, Ira for all the help you have given. Martha Graham for going above and beyond to help Robert and the family out, whether is was getting paperwork filled out and filed or just being there to help out during the difficult times. Robert appreciated everything that was done for him and couldn’t have asked for better people to help in his care. He was predeceased by his mother Mary Swarez. A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. on Friday, October 7, 2016, at Cornerstone Community Church in Milton.
