Robert A. “Bobby” Turner Montpelier Robert Augustus “Bobby” Turner, 70 passed away on Tuesday September 6, 2011 at his home in Montpelier. He was born on May 24, 1941 in Milton, VT son of the late Augustus and Emma May Turner. He had graduated from the Perkins Institute for the blind and was a cafeteria assistant at the Vermont College in Montpelier. Bobby will be missed by all who knew him. His smiling face as he was telling a joke will always be remembered. He was loved by all who knew him and he will be missed. He is survived by: His brother Richard Turner and wife Rita of Copperas Cove, TX; two sisters; Barbara Bugbee of Jericho; Beverly Cherrier of Milton; many nieces, nephews, cousins, numerous friends and neighbors at Pioneer Apartments in Montpelier. He is also survived by his cat “Scooter” who will miss his loving touch. Bobby was also predeceased by his three sisters Laura Wells, Constance Bluto and Shirley Fuller. Visiting hours will be held at A. W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday September 10, 2011 with Pastor Jeff Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow in the family lot in Milton Village Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Bobby’s memory to the Vermont Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (VABVI) Development Office, 60 Kimball Avenue, South Burlington, VT 05403.
