Rosaria Costa

Essex, Vermont Sally Rosaria (Palazzolo) Costa, 93, passed away at Maple Ridge Memory Care in Essex on Tuesday, December 1, 2020. She was born in Queens, New York on December 16, 1926 daughter of the late Anthony and Domenica (Schiavo) Palazzolo. Sally lived life to the fullest. She greeted her neighbors with a smile and was well loved by her friends. Her strong faith helped her move forward through personal challenges. She had strong bonds with those that were special to her. The past two years of her life she continued to develop friendships in her new home. We spent the past few months looking at her picture albums that were meticulously arranged. Reminiscing with her will always be locked away in my memory. It was nice to have that time together at the end of her life. Sally is survived by her sons Thomas and Barbara Costa of Wading River, Long Island; Robert and Maria Costa of Mount Sinai, Long Island, her daughter Janet and Paul Anderson of Fairfax, Vermont seven grandchildren, Robbie Costa, Danielle Erska, Mathew Costa, Tommy Costa, Kristen Costa and Melissa Mecina, Jill Moore and several great grandchildren who will all miss her very much. A graveside service will be held in the family lot in St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Ave., Farmingdale, NY 11735 on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at 11:00 am. Masks and social distancing rules will be followed. Memorial contributions in Sally’s memory may be made to St. Josephs Catholic Church (www.stjosephskp.org) 59 Church Street, Kings Park, NY 11754.
