Obituary
HINESBURG, VT - Sandra (Sandy) Jean Enos a long-time resident of Hinesburg, passed away Thursday, November 21st, at the Fletcher Allen Hospital in Burlington. She was 78 years old. Sandy was born in Mansfield, MA on July 17, 1935 to Francis Wilson and Gladys Martha (Gaboury) Murphy. She graduated from Mansfield High School and quickly obtained a job at Texas Instruments, where she honed in on her excellent secretarial skills. After starting a family in 1962 in the Mansfield area she and her husband moved to Hinesburg, VT in 1965. Sandra worked in Hinesburg over the years in a variety of places; CVU high school cafeteria, the first/original pharmacy in Hinesburg, Annette's Playschool, and St. Jude's Church. She enjoyed being out in the community conversing with people of all ages. When time permitted, Sandy had many passions: line dancing (with her senior girls), tap dancing, ballroom dancing; playing the piano (when the keys didn't stick!), singing, and weekly get-togethers with the "bowling gang" or at the Elk's club. She also loved crafts, quilting, knitting and sewing (we were all thankful that she was good at mending!). However, all of these were second to supporting her grandchildren in their various events; soccer games, Tae Kwon Do, little league baseball, dance recitals, chorus concerts, theater productions, track meets (even when it was 90 degrees), football, and cheerleading. And EVERY graduation ceremony. Sandy was a loving and caring wife and mother and a very cherished grandmother, "Nana". Sandra was predeceased by her parents, Francis Wilson and Gladys Martha (Gaboury) Murphy, her sister Patricia Raymond formerly of RI, and her brother, Francis (Murph) Murphy formerly of CT. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Glenn, their son Michael and his partner Joanne Benjamin, and their children Brad Enos, Shaun Benjamin and Lisa Minor; their daughter Susan Delisle and spouse Mark and their children Grace and John Delisle; and their daughter Tanya Bergantino and spouse Chip and their children Dillon, Tucker and Cody Bergantino. She is also survived by four sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service is currently planned for December at St. Jude's Parish Hall.
