Shirley M. Flanders Colchester Shirley Mae Flanders, 80, passed away on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. She was born on November 8, 1934 in Fairfax daughter of the late Ray and Mildred Flanders. Shirley was an avid reader and sports enthusiast. On any given day, she could be found watching a Red Sox game or NASCAR races. Shirley cultivated many friendships in the surrounding towns of Richmond and Fletcher. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, friend and grandmother; her smile will be remembered fondly by all. She is survived by her Ex-Husband, 2 Sons, & Daughter; Floyd Morgan Jr. of Island Pond; Donald Morgan Sr. of Island Pond; David Morgan and his wife Cindy of Alaska; Lori Barrows and partner Gary Rochette of Essex Jct.; a brother Duane Flanders of Fletcher; four sisters; Betty Poulin and husband Al of Fletcher; June Whitcomb and husband Fred of Richmond; Joyce Boutin and husband Louie of Richmond; Vivian Dutil and husband John of Richmond; six grandchildren ;Danielle; Donald Jr.; Dionne; Darcy; Diana; & Ashley; several great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Shirley was also predeceased by her brothers Kermit Flanders and Gary Flanders. Visiting hours will be held at A W Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel, 57 Main St., Essex Junction, VT 05452 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday November 29, 2014. Burial will follow in the family lot in Binghamville Cemetery, Fletcher.
