Wayne Ralph Ring, 68 of Bolton, passed away on February 24, 2017 at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington. He was born on January 16, 1949 son of the late Ralph and Lorraine (Smith) Ring. He married the former Waneta Tillotson on December 28, 1974 in Jericho Vermont. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Sergeant in the 199th infantry. During his service to his country he received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Combat Infantryman’s Badge, and Air Medal. He enjoyed turkey hunting, duck hunting and deer hunting with Mike, Bruce and Brett. He also had fond memories of hours spent around the fire with Meathead, Elmer-Do and Bruce. He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years Waneta Ring of Bolton. His children Sheri Brisson of Bolton, Mike (fondly thought of as meathead) Brisson of Williston, Tracy and Dave Turgeon of Newport, and Wayne and Lori Ring of Hinesburg. His grandkids Brett (Elmer-Do) Brisson whom he spent a lot of time with, Aaron Turgeon, Kelsea Bourne, Ricky Bourne, Arianna DeForge, Hailey Bourne, Charles Ring, and Calvin Ring. His great grandson Jonathon Ring. His stepmother Joyce Ring of Sealy Texas. His sisters Susan Busier and her partner Wesley Allen of Huntington, Rhoda and Kenny Russin of Huntington, and Deanna and Ron Faldyn of Sealy Texas. His Brothers Robert and Viola Ring of Sealy Texas, Rodney and Celestina Ring of Cumming Georgia, Francis and Soni Ring of Somerville South Carolina, and Kevin Ring of Monkton. His very special nephew and niece Quent and Kyla Bourne. His nieces and nephews Wolf Lee and her partner Sherry Dubuque, Todd Busier, Bridget Russin and Frank Flemings the 2nd, Brandie and Ryan Holland, Rachel Falydn, Blake Faldyn, Jessica, Khrystian and Sean of Texas, Rodney Jr and Lisa Ring, Christina Ring, David Ring, Caroline Ring, Sedrina Ring, Bryson Ring, Skylar Ring, Ethan and Ashley Shepard. His great nieces and nephews Kilee Flemings, Brandon Holland, Savanna Holland, Hollie Rae Shepard, and Weston Shepard. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Stacy Ring. Per Wayne’s wishes no visiting hours will be held. A graveside service will be held at the Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Randolph, time and date to be announced.
