Wesley Goodell Fairfax, Vermont Obituary

Wesley Goodell

Our father & our hero, Wesley J Goodell, passed away on May 27th, after losing his battle with Alzheimer's disease. Dad was born on September 10, 1933, in his home, in Bethel, VT to Merton J. Goodell & Elizabeth A. Goodell. Dad married our beautiful mother, the love of his life, Jean L Goodell on June 21, 1958. They were married 57 years. Dad was a Master Electrician & retired from MCHV after 33 years of service. Dad's greatest joys in life were his wife, his three girls (aka his KJs) & his grandchildren. Dad loved to spend time with them, camping, fishing, skiing, nature hikes & trips to the Ocean. He especially enjoyed leisurely drives along Vermont country roads. Dad was deeply loved by all his children, family & friends. He will be missed dearly. We find peace in knowing that Dad is finally with Mom again. Wesley was predeceased by his wife (Jean L. Goodell) in 2014 & leaves behind his two brothers (Robert Goodell) & (Harry & Kathy Goodell) his sister (Betty & Richard Plumb) his three daughters (Kathi J Goodell & Kerry Burke), (Kristi J & Jack Kenney) & (Kelly J & Brian Courcy), his Grandchildren (Timothy & Linda Goodell), (Aaron Goodell & Michelle Conner), (Adam & Dawn Courcy), (Katie & Arshak Mangoyan) & (Jake Kenney), his Great Grandchildren Ava, Lauren, Chloe, Brendan & Hannah & all of the children that Dad unofficially “adopted” and treated like his own. The Family would like to thank & commend the incredible Staff at Franklin County Rehabilitation, in St Albans VT, for their love, compassion & care. We felt blessed & lucky to be a part of the FCR family. Per Dad's final wishes, there will be no visiting hours & a private graveside service will be held later at the family's discretion. The family invites you to share your memories and condolences by visiting www.awrfh.com.
