William John Bernath, 69, of Cambridge, Vermont, passed away peacefully at his home on February 3, 2021, after a brief illness. He was blessed with the wonderful support of his best friend and teammate, Penny M. Kistner.
Mr. Bernath, referred to affectionately as “Bill” by his friends and family, was a proud husband, father, and grandfather. He dedicated his life to the well-being of his family. His love and devotion to his family was always at the forefront of his life. He left this Earth being incredibly proud of their accomplishments and reminiscing of the fond memories that were shared in their family home.
He is survived by Penny Kistner, his sister Mrs. Evelyn Glatt, his children, Stephanie K. Knoblach and husband Christopher, William K. Bernath and wife Kimberly, Susan K. Bernath, and a beloved granddaughter.
The Bernath Family would like to recognize the care and compassion of Drs. Florian Foerg, Dennis Sanders, and Edward Borrazzo. The Family would also like to thank the outstanding staff of the UVM Medical Center, Lamoille Home Health & Hospice, Cambridge Cares, the Cambridge Rescue Squad, and their cherished friends and neighbors.
At the deceased’s request, there will be no services held at this time.
