William Boozan

William A. “Bill” Boozan Essex Jct. William A. “Bill” Boozan, 68, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 30, 2015 at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home in Burlington following a brief illness. He was born on September 14, 1946 in Burlington son of Mary (Provost) Boozan and the late Roger Boozan. Bill graduated from Essex Jct. High School. He was proud to have served in the U.S. Navy. He graduated from Champlain College and then started his banking career at Howard bank retiring from TD Bank in 2010. Bill enjoyed hunting with his brothers and spending time at the family camp in Fletcher. He also looked forward to spending the holidays and having many Sunday Dinners with his family. Bill is survived by his mother Mary Boozan and his brother Ron and his wife Julie of Bolton, nephews Michael Boozan of Colchester; Bobby Boozan of St. Albans; nieces Sonia Leclair and husband Devin of Churubusco, NY; Nicole Boozan-Hayden and husband Andrew of St. Albans; grand nephews Josh, Nicolas, Landon, Jace, grand nieces Kelsie, Kaitlyn, Aubrey, Hannah, Abby and Kendall. He was also predeceased by his brother Jim. Visiting hours will be held on Monday February 2, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at A W. Rich Funeral Home – Essex Chapel, 57 Main St., Essex Jct., VT 05452. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday February 3, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, Essex Junction with the Reverend Charles Ranges SSE officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Bill’s memory may be sent to American Lung Assoc. of VT, 372 Hurricane Lane, Suite 101, Williston, VT 05495. Burial will be held in the Spring in the family lot in Binghamville Cemetery, Fletcher at a time to be announced.
