Winnie Lanpher Obituary

Winnie H. (Button) Lanpher Belvidere Center Winnie Hilda (Button) Lanpher, 95, passed away on Saturday March 28, 2015 at Copley Hospital in Morrisville. She was born on January 18, 1920 in Belvidere daughter of the late Wille Burns and Rachel Button. Mom learned at an early age how to work hard carrying it through her entire life helping neighbors or anyone in need of help. She raised four boys and worked nights along side of our Dad. She had seven boarders who were working for Dad. She made sure they never left for work without having a full coarse breakfast, packed lunch and came to a full coarse supper. Mom was well known for her pastry baking and her good home cooked meals. Our birthdays were celebrated with our favorite cake and a special event. If you should happen to visit Mom a little before mealtime, you never got away unless you sat and ate. There was always room for one more or five, didn’t matter. Mom loved her gardening (she had a green thumb.) Loved to crochet, fish, cook, read, and when she called special time with her grandchildren, mom also loved her animals, when farming it was her cows, then later her special cats and dogs. Mom loved each and every grandchild, great grandchild and great-great grandchild in her own way. Our Lord awaits you Mom and your family that have gone before you. We will miss you mom, rest in peace, you have well earned and deserve it. We Love You. Winnie is survived by her sons Wendell Lanpher and wife Shirley of Waterville; Lathan Lanpher and wife Judy of Stillwater, NY; Tyrone Lanpher and wife Catherine of Belvidere; 11 grand children, Rosa Mahoney, Maria Hall, Edson Lanpher and wife Heidi, Dennis Lanpher and wife Kari Jo, Darlene Doane and husband John, Deneen Russell and husband Timothy, Larry Lanpher and wife Melissa, Lathan Lanpher Jr. and wife Erin, Limessa Sims and husband David, Randy Lanpher, Katy Lanpher, 24 great grand children, Wayne, Sheena, Theron, Chance, Chelsea, Dylan, Amber, Amanda, Alisha, Alaria, Crystal, Joshua, Jennifer, Chelsea, Jason, Scott, Larry Jr., Jonathon, Rachael, Krystal, Grace, Jasper, Kevin, Karen, and 17 great-great grandchildren Isaac, Jacob, Isabel, Abigail, Christina, Connor, Scott Jr., Amdyn, Hannah, Jacob, Jayden, Moriah, Keyonnah, Angelica, Austin, Corey and Elizabeth, two nieces Hilda and Annette a nephew Junior, and her faithful companion “Toto”.
