Bradley Allen Posey, son of Michael and Florence Posey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 21st, 2019. By his side was Holly Olmstead, his wife and best friend of 41 years.
Brad leaves behind a legacy of unconditional love through his 6 children and their families; Raina Davidman and her fiancé, Thomas Harvey and their two children, Ashton and Rhys; Nick Posey and his wife, Jade and their three children, Sophie, Blake and Aria; Chris Posey and his son, Liam; David Posey and his daughter Harley; Jadya Posey and her fiancé, Ryan Hansen, and Anya Olmstead-Posey. Over the years Brad and Holly have opened up their home and hearts to many children and families, but most recently 5 Pugs; Aston, Bear, Cyrus, Bella, and Tink, who have stolen their hearts.
Brad is survived by Sandy Pepin and her husband; Robin Nelson and her husband; Joyce Sweeney, and many other close family and friends. He is predeceased by his brothers Sherm and Norman Posey, their parents, and one Chihuahua, Totie.
Brad retired in 2017 from Preci-Manufacturing as a Mechanical Inspector. He graduated from Rice Memorial High School and majored in economics at Johnson State College and UVM. Brad enjoyed vacationing with his family in Lake George, fixing up cars and wood working, being outside mowing the lawn, cooking, listening to music, playing golf with Holly's brothers, reading or watching his favorite T.V. shows--as long as he was with his family he was perfectly content and happy doing anything. Brad will always be remembered by his generosity, contagious laugh, warm smile and many colorful adventures with his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday February 26th, 2019 from 10am-12pm at LaVigne Funeral Home, 132 Main Street in Winooski. A short service will follow at 12pm.
