Cecile Robert

Cecile Robert passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord on June 10,2018 surrounded by family members. Cecile was born in Newport, Vermont, daughter of Marie and Alfred Beaulieu. She moved with her family to Burlington when she was 15, later graduating from Mount Saint Mary High School. After graduating she was employed by TS Peck Insurance in Burlington as a clerk. In 1954 she married Raymond Robert and moved to Winooski to raise 8 children.

Cecile was a member of The Daughters of Isabella and Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Winooski. She enjoyed competitive league bowling with her friends, watching her grandchildren play organized sports , baking her favorite bread and knitting with her daughter.

She is preceeded in death by her sister Alice Beaulieu and husband Raymond Robert. Survived by brother Joseph and his wife Anne Beaulieu, sons Alfred, Richard, David, James, Bernard, Michael, Lawrence Robert and their partners, daughter Jean Robert, 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday June 14, 2018 at LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski, Vt. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 AM Friday June 15, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.
