Judith A Brean Obituary

Judith A. Brean 68, of Burlington, passed away with her family by her side at the Vermont Respite House on January 2, 2016. She was born in Winooski on November 2, 1947 the daughter of Clement and Alice Robert.


Judy enjoyed being a homemaker and also had a small home daycare for many years. She had many loves in life such as her flower garden, the Maine ocean, humming birds, arts and crafts, and baking. Most of all, she had a special love for her grandchildren.


She is survived by her three children and their families. Amy Rogers (Jim) of Fairfax, Susan Brean of Hinesburg, Jennifer LaRock (Jesse) of Starksboro, and many grandchildren Connor, Jenna, Bayly, Emily, Aubrey, and Shelby. She is also survived by her sisters Linda Tetrault of Colchester, Joan Bricker of Jericho, brother Clement Robert of Richmond, and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her former husband Donald Brean.


A special thank you to Lucille Hayford, Lorraine Dumais, and Robert and Leitha Brean for their love and commitment to Judy. Thank you to Cathy Cashman for her many years of service to her, Kathi Montieth for caring for her in her final months, and her special friend Marge who became close with her at St. Joseph's. Also, thank you to St. Joseph's and Vermont Respite House for making her final time here comfortable and loved.


There will be no services per Judy's wishes. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Joseph's Residential Care Home 243 North Prospect Street, Burlington, VT.
