Special Friends: Sam Spates, Matt Whitham, Isaac Page, Rene Broulette, Willow Desjardins and Natalie Lynn. Dre also leaves behind so many followers that loved and followed his Journey through life. Dre loved Baseball and was so proud when he became an Honorary Baseball Player of St. Michaels Purple Knights Baseball Team. Dre became to sick to participate in the games like he would have loved to, but none the less he felt like he was part of something much bigger. Dre also got something much more special out of it, he got a loving family and friend who he thought of as a big brother Nick Nelson and the Nelson Family. Dre loved all sports, Yankees were his team, He loved the Patriots but Miami Dolphins held his heart fully. Dre also became a part of the Flex Your Face Family and was given the title of one of the Ambassador’s; he had very big plans with Ryan. Dre had a love of life and stayed positive through out his entire Journey regardless of what was thrown at him, he found something positive about it. Dre said “If he never got sick, he would have never met some of the amazing people he did on his journey”. Dre was also very much an artist who loved to paint, draw and sketch. He had done many paintings for the special Nurses and Doctors in his life. Dre thought of everyone else around him, and always wanted to help out others. His Heart was bigger than he was. We started Dre’s Hope for all that he wanted to do and I will continue to do in honor of his name. Dre loved to do Backpacks for the Homeless, Backpacks for children with Cancer, because he knew all so well about what was needed to help them get through the long rounds of treatment, he also wanted to make sure children had toys given through out the year while they were in the hospital to keep their spirits up ( he always said there was nothing more exciting then unboxing something you didn’t know you had coming ), and the last thing we got into was Dylan and Dre’s Comfy Closet which is where we deliver Pajama’s to the hospitals for Children that were admitted, there was nothing better than to have some comfort of home and make things feel a little more like Normalcy. You lose all Normalcy in your life when your child is diagnosed with Cancer. Dre wanted to make everyone smile. He DID. Dre will be greatly missed by all that knew him and even those that never got the chance to meet him. He was a very inspirational boy. Most important he was my Best Friend. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating a pair of new pajama’s to Dylan & Dre’s Comfy Closet (at the celebration of life) or a monetary donation to assist in covering final expenses. Dylan & Dre’s Comfy Closet benefits sick children in hospitals by giving them new pajama’s to wear instead of hospital gowns. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 22, 2015, at the LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St., Winooski. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday May 23, 2015 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 416 Church Road, Colchester.
