Rita Rock

Rita E. (Barrows) Rock, 79, a lifelong resident of Colchester, VT, left this earth peacefully on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 7:45 am. She was employed by the Colchester School District and IBM, from where she retired. Among her interests were spending time with family and friends, gardening, camping, and involvement with church and community activities. She was predeceased by her parents, Oscar and Antoinette Gratton; former husbands Wayne Edwin Barrows and Thomas John Rock; brothers, Oscar (Clare) Gratton and Romeo (Joseph) Gratton; and sisters, Cecile (James) Richmond, Shirley Farnsworth, and Florence (Pete) Bradley. She is survived by her sons, Clay (Linda) Barrows, Brad (Mary) Barrows and Andy (LeeAnn) Barrows; grandsons, Michael Barrows, Wayne (Marcela) Barrows, Kevin Foley, Matthew Barrows and Justin Barrows; brothers, Bernard (Pauline) Gratton, Roland (Johnny) Gratton, and Leo (Shelby) Gratton; and sisters, Marie (Paul) Mandina and Annette Charbonneau. A funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace Parish in Colchester, VT on Friday, November 13 at 11:00 AM, with a reception to follow.
