Stella Zagajeski

2nd Obituary------- Stella (Jurkiewicz) Zagajeski a longtime resident of Burlington went to join the love of her life on September 17, 2015. She was born December 18, 1922 to Edward and Jadwiga (Chrystowski) Jurkiewicz in Winooski. She married Henry Zagajeski on September 18, 1948 at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Winooski. Stella devoted her life to raising her seven children and was a parishioner of St. Mark's Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory are her six children and their spouses Chris and Mary Zagajeski, Rosemary and Tom Morrill, Jadwiga and Neill Bovaird, Laura and Roland Leblanc, Mary Jane and Marcel Lemay and Barbara and Bob King; 13 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews, extended family and many friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Henry, her daughter Linda Zagajeski, and her 2 brothers and one sister. Stella's family wish to offer their sincere gratitude to a special friend and care giver Gail Terrien. They would also like to thank the staff at Starr Farm Nursing Home, Dr Clough, and the VNA/Hospice team for their wonderful care. Visiting hours will be held Sunday September 20 from 4:00PM to 7:00PM at LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 132 Main St. Winooski, VT. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday September 21 at 11:00AM at St. Marks Catholic Church, North Ave, Burlington, VT. Interment will follow at New Mount Calvary Cemetery.
