Theresa "Terry" Bouchard of Winooski & Swanton Passed away on Sunday July 15th in Swanton, VT.

Theresa was born in Winooski, VT to Rodolphe & Mable (Desautel) Beaudoin on February 22, 1926. She married Ernest J. Bouchard Sr. on May 24, 1947 in Winooski.

She was a nurse's aide for many years at Fanny Allen Hospital in Colchester. She also worked at the Woolen Mill in Winooski and later worked in retail at Forest Hills until they closed. Theresa then worked for Zayre and then Ames. Theresa also loved working every year at the Champlain Valley Fair.

Theresa along with her husband Ernie were avid bowlers and bowled for many years in leagues. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Champlain Aerie #793 Auxiliary. She loved to travel, & enjoyed their camp in the woods of Duxbury. Theresa loved to knit and crochet, she enjoyed making items for the local mitten tree for many years as well as making many beautiful items for her family and friends. Theresa loved to gamble, She took many bus trips with her friends to the Casinos and always enjoyed a good scratch ticket. She loved listening to WOKO and making sure everyone in her family was honored on their birthdays and anniversaries, she was then honored with being their listener of the week in 2008 which she was very proud of. She would spend hours making puzzles with her daughters and grandchildren. She was the 'Crazy Cat lady", her cats were like children to her. In her final years she loved living with her Grand dogs Lucy and Maggie.

Theresa is survived by her Children, Joyce Gonyon (David), Linda Cummings (Bernie), & Ernest Bouchard Jr. (Amy). Her Grand Children, Jeffrey Gonyon, Melissa Gonyon (Jefferey Patnaude), Jeremy Gonyon (Stephanie Drew), Andrew Gonyon, Jordan Gonyon, Sam Gonyon, Karen Rouse (Brock), Kathy Lord (Nat), Jessica Grant (Adam), Samuel Bouchard, & Nathan Bouchard. Theresa was blessed with many Great Grand Children, Matthew, Shanna, Taylor, Charley, Chase, Katie, Fayth, Mozes, Zeke, Brooke, Tanner, Kylie, Kacie, Mason, & Logan. Great Great Grand Children Cassidy , Carolyn, & Skyler. Theresa's siblings, Azarius Beaudion (Sylvia), Reggie Beaudoin, Teddy Beaudoin (Irene). Her brother-in-law's Roland Bouchard (Mona), & Clement Bouchard Jr. along with many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was predeceased by her husband Ernest Bouchard Sr. her brothers Joseph, Henry & Lawrence. Her Sisters Pauline, Irene, & Joyce. Her sister-in-law's Myrt Beaudoin, Mary Bouchard, and Doris Hawley, Brother in law's Paul Brown Sr., & Bob Hawley.

Theresa spent her final few years residing with her eldest daughter Joyce and her family in Swanton, she had a special relationship with three of her great grandchildren Fayth, Mozes and Zeke who helped a great deal with her care. We would like to thank Theresa's Niece Dianna Bouchard-Dion for all her help in these final weeks. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Friday July 20, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, with burial to follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of LaVigne Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Condolences may be shared at www.lavignefuneralhome.com.
