Carlton Brown Accomac, Virginia Obituary

Carlton Brown

Obituary God, according to His abundant mercy, called home his begotten, Carlton Lee Brown, to a more lively hope on August 18, 2019. Carlton was born to the late Neal Brown, Jr. and Lucille Shrieves Brown on February 4, 1946 in Mappsville, Virginia. Carlton attended the public schools of Accomack County and in his early teens, he started working in the fields along side his father. He would spend the rest of his life farming and later added to his repertoire of occupations, overseer of poultry houses. Carlton worked the farms and poultry houses for over forty (40) years until his health began to fail. Carlton enjoyed teaching his son, Clayton, all he had learned over the years about tractors, cultivating and farming, but the most memorable moments for him occurred when he and his son would spend quality time watching television, riding out or just sitting and talking. Carlton showed kindness to anyone who needed a kind word or a helping hand. Down through the years, he was a caregiver to many family members. We will always remember him for his warm personality, his giving spirt, and his encouraging words. The Word of God tells us for those of us who love the Lord, we have an inheritance that is incorruptible, undefiled, and will not fade away. This inheritance is reserved for us in heaven. We know this because God is faithful and his Word is truth. God alone is the author and finisher of our faith and He said he would never leave us nor forsake us, not even to the ends of the earth. Carlton leaves to cherish precious memories: his lifelong companion, Latasha Renee Fidderman of Oak Hall, VA; two sons, Clayton Lee Brown of Oak Hall, VA and Carlton Handy (Wanda) of Dover, DE; one daughter, Naomi Campbell of Atlantic, VA; two step-daughters, whom he raised as his own, Latisha Fidderman of Bloxom, VA and Tylexus Chenay Fidderman of Oak Hall, VA; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 1 special grandson, Karter Shaquille Lyons; two sisters, Alice Goffin (Cornelius) of Nelsonia, VA and Robin Townsend (Ricky) of Horntown, VA; two brothers, Paul Edward Brown (Jacqueline) of Withams, VA and John Taylor, of Wattsville, VA; one aunt, Edith Shrieves of Pocomoke, MD and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends who will miss him dearly. Carlton was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Nancy Brown and Yvonne Williams Ames and one brother, Neal Brown III. Lovingly Submitted, The Family
