James Pinkard

James Earl Pinkard was the 7th child born to the late Helen Drummond Pinkard and Harry Earl Pinkard on February 28, 1945 in Miona, Virginia. On April 15, 2017, James departed this life to go home to be with the Lord at the age of seventy-two (72). He was united with Christ at an early age and joined Shiloh Baptist Church in Atlantic, Virginia. He was a born again Christian and loved to serve the Lord. James attended Accomac County public schools and graduated from Mary N. Smith High School. He continued his education by attending a Technical School in Pennsauken, New Jersey where he learned a trade in operating and repairing freezers. He was employed at Campbell Soup Company in Pocomoke, Maryland for 30 years. James always loved and enjoyed family and friends as well as his church family. He always had a passion for helping others. He enjoyed singing, fishing and helping the community in what ever he could do. James leaves to cherish precious memories: the sweetheart of his life Mary; from this union there were two sons, Harry Pinkard and Maurice Pinkard; two daughters, Rita Pinkard and Shrell Myers Pinkard; three stepsons, Tommy Brown, DeAndre Brown and Jermaine Brown and many others children he took part in helping to raise. He also leaves: two sisters, Inez Drummond Taylor of Pocomoke, Maryland and Pauline Hall of Withams, Virginia; two good friends, Cindy Leigh and Floyd Leigh of Edenton, North Carolina as well as precious and fond memories of him with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. James was preceded in death by his brothers, Garrett and Harry Pinkard, Robert Drummond and one sister Rosetta Jones. Lovingly Submitted, The Family
