DRY FORK, Cheryl Stufft Stearns, age 67, of 4900 Whitmall School Rd. Dry Fork, VA, entered into rest on July 29, 2019 at her residence. She was born on April 3, 1952, in Baltimore, MD, the daughter of the late Lester Stufft and the late Hazel Stufft. She is survived by her husband, Dwight David Stearns. She was a member of Greenpond Baptist Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Rebecca (George) Foster and Shelly (Emily) Stearns; three grandchildren, George (Brea Ann) Foster III, Daniel Foster, and Noah Foster; three great-grandchildren, Jonah Foster, Oliver Foster, and Aubrey Foster; a sister, Beverly Niedzwick; and a brother, Richard Stufft. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Donald Stufft and Buddy Stufft; and a sister, Cathy Hartsell. Memorial services will be conducted at Greenpond Baptist Church on Friday August 2, 2019 at 11:00 am. The family will receive friends following the service. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PL Memphis, TN 38105.
