He was born on October 1, 1958, in Hartford, CT, the son of the late Leo Joseph Richards and Eleanor Michaelits, who survives. He is survived by his wife, Queen Richards. In addition to his mother and wife, he is survived by a daughter, Shayna Martin; a son, Michael Leo Richards, Jr.; five grandchildren, Alexisdenize Martin, Leanna Brown, Michael Leo Richards, III, Myles Richards, and Malina Richards; and a sister, Mary Katherine Scott.
