Thomas Acra Jr.

CHESAPEAKE - Thomas Hawkins Acra, Jr., 74, of the 1500 block of Myrtle Avenue, passed away on January 24, 2010 in Chesapeake. A native of Chesapeake, he was the son of the late Thomas Acra, Sr. and Elizabeth Stevenson Acra. A U.S. Army Veteran, he retired as a computer technician with Unysis and was a member of Rosemont Christian Church. He is survived by his wife, Bernice F. Acra; a daughter, Virginia Acra Arrington and her husband, Robert of Moyock, NC; two brothers, Robert S. Acra, Sr., and William B. Acra, both of Chesapeake; a brother-in-law, Robert E. Fisk; two step-grandchildren, Nicole Zaletel and Bobby Arrington, Jr.; two step-great-grandchildren, Gavin and Steven Joseph; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Forest Lawn Cemetery, 8100 Granby Street, Norfolk. Graham Funeral Home, Greenbrier Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
