Mabel Persinger Obituary

Mrs. Mabel Eveline Fridley Persinger, age 82, of Covington, died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Darle Watson Persinger. Mrs. Persinger was born September 11, 1934 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Pete Fridley and Peachy Shue Fridley. She had been employed as a housekeeper by the former Holiday Inn. Mabel was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. She was a member of the Covington Moose Lodge, enjoyed fishing and loved spending time with her family. Mrs. Persinger is survived by a daughter, Brenda Liptrap of Covington; one granddaughter, Tracie Persinger; and two great grandchildren, Justin Williams and Wesley Caldwell. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Persinger was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Persinger; three brothers and five sisters. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, April 14, 2017, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Hollenbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Persinger, Eugene Persinger, Ron Liptrap, Michael Dwyer, Michael Liptrap and Tim Garza. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home. Arrangements are being handled by Loving Funeral Home; www.lovingfuneralhome1913.com.
