Paul Junior Ratliff

Paul Junior Ratliff, age 85 of Grundy, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at his home. Born March 1, 1935, at Grundy, Virginia, he was the son of the late DS Ratliff and Alafair Hurley Ratliff. He was a coal miner having retired from United Coal Company. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lassie; one grandson, David Paul Phillips; one brother, Grady Ratliff; one sister, Bertie Sparks, and one infant brother. SURVIVORS INCLUDE: Daughters Paula Ratliff of Grundy, Virginia. Paulette Chaffins and husband Terry of Grundy, Virginia Kathy Ann Philllips of Princeton, West Virginia Son William David Ratliff of Grundy, Virginia. Eight Grandchildren Fifteen Great-Grandchildren Two Great-Great-Grandchildren Sister Dolly Ratliff Bentley and husband Charles of Richlands, Virginia Brother Joe Ratliff and wife Sherry (Cox) Ratliff of Grundy, Virginia Also surviving are his special pets, Little Boy and Little Girl. There will be a private graveside service Friday, March 27, 2020, 3:00 P.M. at the Dan Blankenship Cemetery, Lick Branch Road, Hurley, Virginia with David Peters officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends. Virginia Funeral Home of Grundy, Virginia is in charge of the arrangements.
