Leroy Reynolds

Richmond, VA – Leroy Reynolds, age 77, of Glenlyn, VA formally of Haysi, VA passed away January 21, 2021 at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, Richmond, VA. He was the son of the late Willie and Evelyn Kiser Reynolds. He was last employed as a coal miner. Leroy was a member of the Lick Creek Freewill Baptist Church and attended Glen Lyn Baptist. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Martha Alice Mitchell, sisters, Betty Stephens, Carrie Sykes, Joyce Grizzle and Martha Deloach, a brother Danny Reynolds and two infant sisters. Survivors include two daughters, Regina Newsome of Narrows, VA and Gerina (Don Kiser) Owens of Haysi, VA., daughter by heart, Anna (Elgin) Midkiff, four sisters, Nettie Bolick, NC, Patsy Moore, St. Paul, VA, Sandra Robinson, Wise, VA, Alice McCoy, Lebanon, VA., and special friend Maggie Jones of Staffordsville, VA. Three grandchildren, Monica (Justin) Kiser, Zach (Kayla) Owens, Johnathan (Kelli Costin) Newsome, Dakota Newsome and Spencer Midkiff, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Haysi Funeral Home with Gary Wayne Owens officiating. Family will receive friends after 12 P.M. prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow in the George Mitchell Cemetery, Haysi, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
