Mr. Danie Lee Osborne, age 64, of Richlands, Virginia, passed away Sunday (May 14, 2017) in a Bristol, Tennessee hospital. Born November 1, 1952 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Edie Osborne. He was a lifelong resident of the area and was a former employee of Jewell Smokeless Coal Company. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Massie Shortt and special friend, Kay Sowder. Survivors include one son, Keith Osborne; one step-daughter, Jessica Frost and husband, Joseph of North Carolina; three brothers, Estil Hurt and wife, Barbara of Raven, Jessie Osborne and James Davis and wife, Eva all of Richlands; very special niece, Lora Shelton and husband, Eddie of Raven; sister-in-law, Trula Short of Bassett, Virginia; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Osborne Mountain Pentecostal Church with Rev. Luther Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in the Osborne Cemetery. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Osborne Mountain Pentecostal Church after 6:00 PM Tuesday.
