Mrs. Juanita Harris, age 69, of the Grissom Creek section of Council, Virginia, passed away Tuesday (July 16, 2019) at Bristol Hospice House in Bristol, Tennessee. Born January 12, 1950 in Buchanan County, Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Willie and Bertha Johnson Harris. A lifelong resident of the area, she was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed traveling, especially to the beach. A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Survivors include her husband of fifty-one years, Clyde Harris of the home; three daughters, Sandi Lester and husband, Kenneth of Huddleston, Virginia, Janet Harris and husband, David of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Tammy Deel and husband, Curtis of Moneta, Virginia; six grandchildren, Megan Lester, Ryan Lester, Ethan Harris, Wyatt Deel, Bryson Deel, and Levi Harris; one sister, Linda Harris of Bluff City, Tennessee; two brothers, Nolon Harris and wife, Linda and Charles Harris and wife, Judy all of Honaker; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Bennie Harris and Rev. Darrell Milgrim officiating. Interment will follow in the Harris Cemetery on Combs Ridge, Virginia. Pallbearers will be Ryan Lester, Ethan Harris, Roy Harris, Brady Harris, Harlis Harris, Roger Harris, Joey Barton, and Jaren Barton. Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Deel, Bryson Deel, Megan Lester, and Levi Harris. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Thursday, where an evening service will be conducted at 7:00 PM with Rev. Steve Perkins officiating.
