Marty Street

Mr. Marty Lane Street, age 59, of Honaker, Virginia, passed away Friday (March 24, 2017) in Honaker, Virginia. Born February 10, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of Hazel Louise White Street of Honaker, Virginia and the late Dennis Oakley Street. A lifelong resident of the area, he was a disabled coal miner. He loved riding horses and tending to his chickens. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his infant brother, Gary Wayne Street, and one step-daughter, Shonna Gail Ashby. In addition to his mother, survivors include two children, Kelly Armstrong and husband, Justin of Marion, Virginia and Marty Ray Street and fiancée, Chelsea McCray of Meadowview, Virginia; five grandchildren, Lucas Armstrong, Isabella Armstrong, Landon Ray Street, Sarah Elizabeth Street, and Walker Lane Street; one sister, Deanna Street and friend, Tim Gibson of Honaker; one brother, Mike Street and wife, Linda of Elk Garden; two step-grandchildren, Tyler Ashby and Shalee Ray Ashby; two nieces, Monica Street and Mica Street; special friend, Heather Harris. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Roy Lee Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Street Cemetery on Sandy Ridge Road, Cleveland, Virginia. Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers. Memorial contributions would be appreciated and can be made to the Mart Street Memorial Fund c/o Honaker Funeral Home, P.O. Box 1620, Honaker, Virginia 24260. The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Monday.
