James Donald "Bunks" Mitchell, 84, of Ophelia, Virginia passed away on September 10, 2017. He was the son of the late Benjamin Nelson Mitchell and Virginia Haynie Mitchell and a retired fish boat captain. He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan Angevine Mitchell; three sons, Stephen Donald Mitchell (Judy), James Kirk Mitchell (Libbie) and Brett Nelson Mitchell; six grandchildren, Scott, Blayne, Justin, Lauren, Tyler and Hannah; 4 great grandchildren; one brother, Charles Barry Mitchell (Lettie T)and one niece, Tish Mitchell. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a. m. Saturday, September 16, 2017 at Roseland Cemetery, Reedville. Memorial contributions may be made to Northumberland County Rescue, P. O.
