We said our good-byes to James H. "Bob' Cutler, age 87, on May 16, 2016. He leaves his wife of 62 years, Yvonne Cutler; daughter Lee Anna Norwood; son Dale Cutler and wife Karen; son Dean Cutler; grandchildren Jessica Norwood (Tommy Mitchell), Brooke Ellis (T. W.), and Kyle Cutler (Heather); beloved great granddaughters Layla Mitchell, Peyton Ellis and Olivia Ellis; special sisters-in-law Sybil Cutler and Sharon Tabelina, niece Deeanna Forbes (Michael) and her daughters Hailey Forbes, Lauren Capps and her children; along with many other family members and friends that he cared for deeply. He was preceded in death by both his father, Lee Thomas Cutler and mother, Della Hudnell Cutler; his aunt and saving grace, Ada Hudnell Slade; two sisters, Eva Deal and Nellie Mills; three brothers Elvin, Frederick and Willis Lee. He was fortunate to spend his entire career with the Army Corps of Engineers doing a job that he truly loved and enjoyed every single day. He loved his lake, Carolina basketball and collecting Indian artifacts. He was a man that was admired, respected and loved by the many people whose lives he touched. A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted at 2pm, Saturday, May 21 at Farrar Funeral Home in South Hill. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service and request all those attending to wear casual attire. Memorial considerations may be directed to Palmer Springs Fire Department, 1697 Palmer Springs Rd., Boydton, VA 23917. Online condolences may be sent to www.farrarfuneralhome.net.
