Mr. Jessie Weldon Callis, age 87 of South Hill, died Friday, June 26, 2009. Mr. Callis was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Callis and is survived by two sons, Michael Callis and Mark Callis both of South Hill, and one daughter Paige C. Blalock of LaCrosse, one grandchild and three great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Samuel Wilkins Callis of Richmond and a very special friend, Myrtle House of South Hill. A graveside funeral will be conducted at 2pm Saturday, June 27th. at Crestview Memorial Park, LaCrosse, VA. The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:00 to 1:00PM at Farrar Funeral Home in South Hill. Farrar Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
