Mr. Sterling Montgomery Allgood, age 82, of South Hill died Sunday, May 8, 2016. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Frances Allgood of the home; a son, Stephen M. Allgood (Betty) of Roanoke Rapids, NC; two step sons, Christopher Brame (Pam) of Red Oak, VA and Michael Brame (Susan) of Chesterfield, VA. Also surviving are two grandchildren Haylee Allgood and Kristen Brame; one brother, Walter Neblett Allgood (Louise) of Baskerville and three sisters, Bessie A. Wilkerson, Barbara A. Gill both of Chase City, and Lucille A. Blalock of Baskerville. Mr. Allgood was veteran of the US Army and a retired correctional officer with the VA Department of Corrections. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2pm, Wednesday May 11 at Crestview Memorial Park, LaCrosse, VA with military honors.
