Walter M. “Bud” Rochelle, Jr., age 83, of South Hill died Saturday, September 17, 2011. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Rochelle and is survived by three nieces, Joy Crowder, Connie McGehee and Judy Ball and five nephews, Ricky Thomason, Norman Newell, Robert Peach, Andy McGehee and Bill Sawyer. Mr. Rochelle was retired from the U S Postal Service, a Veteran of the U S Army, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 297, Charter Member of Southside Rescue Squad and had been a member of Wise Baptist Church since 1937. A graveside service will be conducted at 2pm, Sunday, September 18, 2011 at Wise Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will meet at the residence.
