Alson George “Bud” Loy, 95, of Winchester, VA died Sunday, April 17, 2011 at the Winchester Medical Center. He was born October 26, 1915 Winchester, VA; the son of Edward H. and Estelle Carper Loy. He was a graduate of Handley High School class of 1934. He was a heating and air conditioning contractor and owned Loy’s Oil Burner Service. He was a former member of Rouss and Sarah Zane Fire Companies. “Bud” married Frances Clem Loy on December 21, 1935 in Hagerstown, MD. She preceded him in death on May 10, 2004. He is survived by a daughter, Barbara L. Rush and her husband, Richard of Waynesboro, PA; a son Edward W. Loy and his wife Colleen of Frederick County; two granddaughters, Julie Rush and Kristie Chaney of Hagerstown and two great granddaughters, Hannah Chaney and Tayler Chaney of Hagerstown. The family will receive friends at Jones Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 7-9:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. in Mt Hebron Cemetery with Pastor Steve Melester officiating.
