Charlotte Shipe

Charlotte Virginia Shipe, 83, of Berryville, died Saturday, May 11, 2013 at a local nursing home. Mrs. Shipe was born January 6, 1930 in Marshall, VA; the daughter of the late James and Mary Ethel Alexander Fishback. She worked for J & J Newberry’s and retired from C & P Telephone Company. Charlotte married the late Robert J. Shipe in Oakland, MD on January 22, 1968. She is survived by three sisters, Mary Iden Lillis, Bette Jean Lillis, both of Frederick County, VA and Judith Margaret Marlow, of Augusta, WV; two brothers, James A. Fishback, Jr. of Winchester, VA and David W. Fishback, of Frederick County, VA. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hung Su Lim officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Hebron Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Eddie Marlow, Tim Lillis, Randy Fishback, John Cowgill, D. J. Lane and Joe Lillis. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt.
