Clark Lesley “Les” Cooper, 78, of Bunker Hill, WV, died Thursday, March 4, 2010 at VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Les was born October 29, 1931 in Gore, VA, the son of Edward L. and Viola Elliott Cooper. He served as a corporal with the United States Marines. He owned and operated Cooper Water Service after retiring from the carpenter profession. Mr. Cooper’s first love in life is the Lord, his second love was his wife and his third love was his children, grand children and great grand children. He enjoyed family gatherings, traveling, and farming. His memberships included the United States Marine Corp Commanders Club and Mt. Olive United Methodist Church He married Frances H. McKee on May 12, 1956 in Hagerstown, MD. Along with his wife, Frances of Bunker Hill, he is survived by his son, Stewart A. Cooper and wife Cynthia of Bunker Hill; four daughters, Sharon A. Guha and husband Sid, Donna G. Brill and husband Kevin all of Bunker Hill, Brenda L. McDonald and husband Jerry of Berryville, VA and Michelle L. Feltner and companion Terry J. Kerns of Winchester; daughter-in-law, Louise A. Cooper of Bunker Hill; one sister, Alice F. Hart of Winchester; two brothers, Harold E. Cooper and Perry R. Cooper both of Winchester, twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis C. Cooper; a sister, Audrey G. Crim and three brothers, Carter J. Cooper, Ralph L. Cooper and Howard F. Cooper. His family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7-9 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home in Winchester. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Donald H. Moulden, Minister Carolyn Martin and Minister Robert Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Mt Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Powers, Aaron Powers, Nathan Feltner, Daniel Feltner, Travis Hart, Jeff Hart, Kip Hart and Jerry C. McDonald, II. Honorary pallbearers will be Leslie A. McKee, Chris Groves, Kevin C. Brill, Donnie McKee, Jr. Jimmy Trennary, Freddy VanMeter and Joe Smith.
