Denzil Lee Shane, 62, of Winchester, VA passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at his residence. Denzil was born February 7, 1955 in Winchester; the son of the late Arthur Neal Shane and Irene Dailey Bean. He worked as a roofer in construction all of his life. He married Amelia Bess Brewer on April 25, 2000 in Winchester, VA. Along with his wife, Denzil is survived by his son, Denzil Lee Baker, wife Samantha, of Winchester; his daughter, Tonya Powell of Strasburg; a step daughter, Lori Hines, husband Richard, of Romney, WV and a step son, Asa Shipe, wife Tina, of High View, WV; twelve grandchildren, four great grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel Shane, wife Pat, of Winchester and Arthur Shane, Jr., wife Elaine, of North Carolina; a sister, Patricia Wolford, husband Richard, of Winchester. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Funeral Home with J. R. Burns officiating.
